Project Overview
Client: Umar, a building materials wholesaler in Nigeria
Products: Hand tools, door locks and renovation hardware
Quantity: 3,200 units
Order value: USD 18,600
Outcome: Successful delivery, strong local sales and long-term cooperation
Background
Umar’s order covered numerous tools, locks and hardware accessories. Although the total quantity was substantial, it was divided across many SKUs, sizes and specifications.
Different factories had different MOQs, production schedules and quality standards. Managing them independently often resulted in inconsistent workmanship, delayed completion and difficulty consolidating the goods.
Our Approach
Hinsourcing grouped the products by manufacturing specialization and matched each category with suitable direct factories.
Hand tools were compared according to materials, dimensions, weight, handles, surface treatment and basic function. Door locks were evaluated for lock type, dimensions, cylinder configuration, keys, finish and included installation components. Other hardware accessories were reviewed for materials, size, connection type, coating and packaging quantity.
We normalized quotations so that price differences could be evaluated against comparable specifications, components and packaging.
Samples were confirmed before production. Hinsourcing then tracked each factory’s schedule and coordinated bulk inspection. The checks covered SKU, quantity, dimensions, appearance, assembly, lock operation, accessories, surface finish, packaging and carton identification.
Goods from the different factories were collected and consolidated into one shipment. Export documentation, customs coordination, sea freight and logistics tracking were managed through the same service.
